Baseball Sweeps Midland in Non-Conference Meeting
Doane Baseball headed to Hutchinson, Kansas, on Sunday to take on Midland in a non-conference doubleheader. The Tigers pulled off the sweep of the Warriors, rallying in game one for a 7-5 win before taking game two, 10-0. Both games were seven-inning contests.

Luke LaChance delivered a sacrifice fly in the third inning and Doane scored three more runs in the fourth. Osborn stole second and on an errant throw, Meyer came in to score. White followed with an RBI-single. Logan Amick would score the final run of the fourth inning on a passed ball to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead.
Griess scored on a wild pitch in the fifth inning. Misael Cantu picked up his first RBI of the season with a single in the sixth inning. LaChance drove in the final run with an RBI-single for a 10-0 lead.
Julian Vargas started for the Tigers and picked up the win as he went 5.0 innings, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four. Jake King threw one scoreless inning, allowing two hits, and Matthew Morben struck out the side in his one inning of work.
Doane had eight hits in the game with White going 2-for-3 with a run scored and two driven in. LaChance was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI as well. Osborn scored twice for the Tigers.
