Football Signs 35 on Signing Day

Doane (Neb.) Football announced their 2018 National Signing Day class, featuring 35 future Tigers. Today's signees come from 10 different states, including ten from Texas and eight from Nebraska.

The Tigers had a couple of areas to address following the graduation of some key players from last year's squad. This initial wave of recruits looks to have targeted those areas of wide receiver and tight end where the Tigers lost four combined starters.

"We're excited at the early list of commits that we have on signing day," Doane Head Football Coach Matt Franzen said. "We will continue our efforts following signing day, but we feel like we've addressed some immediate needs, signed some players who will compete to play early, and have successfully broadened our base to include some states that we haven't yet tapped into."
