Seven Named to NFF Hampshire Award

IRVING, Texas (April 11, 2018) - The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced today the members of the 2018 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. An all-time high 1,251 players from a record-tying 302 schools qualified for membership in the society's 12th year.

Doane University (Neb.) placed seven on this year's list that included 66 total senior student-athletes from the NAIA. Receiving recognition from Doane were Bret Andrew (Casper, Wyo.), Cole Bodfield (Crete, Neb.), Richard Carter (San Marcos, Calif.), Jarod Fiegener (Falls City, Neb.), Drew Klein (Papillion, Neb.), Trev Lovell (Bellevue, Neb.), and Cole Wiseman (Sutton, Neb.).

The Tiger senior class posted a career record of 30-12 over their four seasons with two NAIA Playoff berths.
