Meyer Receive GPAC Football Honor

Doane kicker Kelen Meyer (FR/Ord, Neb.) tied a school record on Saturday by converting four field goal attempts and his efforts have earned him the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Special Teams Player of the Week.

Meyer scored all 12 points in Doane's 12-10 victory over Concordia in the season opener in Crete. He made a 21-yard field goal to end the second quarter followed by a 39 and a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter. His final field goal came with 1:21 to play in the game, a 47-yard go-ahead field goal.

His final field goal was the longest for Doane since 2018. The last time Doane had two 40+ yard field goals in a game was in 2013.
