Football Academic All-District List Announced

The 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams have been announced for the Football division. Doane placed the full allotment of eight on this year's list.

Recognized for their accomplishments in competition and in the classroom are Lucas Christensen, Rian Green, Zack Perez, Karsen Reimers, Tanner Simdorn, Briggs Songster, Cade Wiseman, and Reece Zutavern. All recipients of the honor hold a cumulative grade point average above a 3.50.

Christensen, a defensive lineman, posted 44 tackles in 11 games for Doane with 4.5 tackles for loss.

Green, a running back, had 435 yards on 89 carries. He had one touchdown rushing and averaged 4.9 yards per carry.

Perez, a wide receiver, had 17 receptions for 245 yards and two touchdowns.

Reimers, a tight end, had six receptions for 49 yards.

Simdorn, a linebacker, notched 73 tackles in 11 games, picking up 11.5 tackles for loss with one fumble recovered.

Songster, a defensive lineman, picked up 27 tackles on the year with 1.5 tackles for loss.

Wiseman, a defensive back, had 35 tackles for the Tigers and a team-high nine pass breakups.

Zutavern, a linebacker, recorded 68 tackles on the defensive side and had one reception for a touchdown on the offensive side of the ball.
