Men's Basketball dropped an 89-78 decision at Jamestown on Saturday in North Dakota. It was the Tigers' first loss in Jamestown in three seasons.
The first half was a back-and-forth battle that left the Jimmies up three, 36-33, at halftime. After Doane scored the opening basket of the game, Jamestown scored seven straight points to take the lead. The Tigers would go on an 8-0 run a few minutes later to take a 14-11 lead with 11 minutes to go in the first half. The Jimmies followed with a 9-0 run to regain the lead, one they would not relinquish.
Brady Timm led the Tigers with 32 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. He was 10-of-11 at the free throw line. Cam Binder added 12 points and Nick Saiz finished with 10 points. River Johnston led the team with five rebounds while Cooper Sheldon had a team-high six assists, tying his career-high set earlier this year at York.
Doane shot 45-percent from the field, hitting 35-percent from behind the arc. They were 17-of-21 at the free throw line. Jamestown shot 47-percent from the field and 33-percent from 3-point range. They were 25-of-28 from behind the arc.
The Tigers will return home to host Mount Marty on Tuesday, November 21. Tip-off is set for 7:45 PM in Crete.
