Men's Basketball took on Concordia on Wednesday evening in Seward. The Bulldogs picked up a 106-69 victory in the game.
The Tigers were able to get a 4-2 lead but Concordia went on a 14-2 run to take a lead they would not relinquish. The Bulldogs led 58-36 at the half as they had a stretch where eight of the nine made baskets came from behind the arc.
Concordia opened the second half with a 12-3 run with the Tigers' lone basket coming from Carter Ruse. Doane was able to chip away at the deficit in the middle stages of the half, cutting the lead to 23 points before the Bulldogs pulled away.
Brady Timm led the Tigers with 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting to go with three steals. Jack Wilson added 11 points. Cooper Sheldon had a team-high six rebounds with Ben Renshaw collecting a team-best three assists.
Doane will take on Morningside this coming Saturday, January 13, at 3:45 PM in Sioux City, Iowa.
