Parsley Promoted to Director of Golf
Doane University Athletics is excited to announce the promotion of Myron Parsley to Director of Golf, in addition to his responsibilities as the Men's Golf Head Coach. The position will bring Women's Golf under the umbrella and Parsley will work alongside Coach Jim Danson.
"I'm honored to be named the Director of Golf," Parsley said. "I'm looking forward to working with Coach Danson to solidify our Men's and Women's golf teams as the best in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). We have been fortunate to add excellent facilities like the indoor Golf Academy to recruit and develop quality players from Nebraska, out-of-state, and internationally. Combined with a beautiful campus and exceptional academics, we are positioned to offer an outstanding experience for student-athletes."
Parsley has been the Head Coach of the Men's Golf program since November 2007 and was most recently named the GPAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year. He guided the Tigers to their first GPAC championship this spring and the first conference title since 1976. Doane will participate in the NAIA National Tournament for the first time as a team this week in Mesa, Arizona.
