NAIA Scholar-Athletes Announced for Men's Golf

Doane Men's Golf placed six golfers on the 2023 NAIA Scholar-Athlete list released this week. To be recognized, a student-athlete must be of at least sophomore academic status, be enrolled at their institution for one full year at the time nominations are required, and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.

The previous high for the men's golf program was four NAIA Scholar-Athletes in 2019 and 2020. Making the list in 2023 to set a new record for the Tigers were Blake Skomal, Derek Story, Josh Spomer, Noah Miller, Sam Arnold, and Samuel Banzhaf. Spomer and Banzhaf are repeat selections for the Tigers from last year's list.
