The men's soccer team opened the 2022 season on the road, taking on No. 12 Bellevue. The Bruins struck early and pulled away with an 8-0 win over the Tigers.
Bellevue out-shot the Tigers, 22-1, with shots on-goal in the Bruins favor, 13-0. In the opening half, Bellevue scored four goals on nine shots before following up with four goals on 13 shots in the second half.
Dylan Tridle (JR/Lincoln, Neb.) started in goal, playing the first half and collecting two saves. Hunter Pitt (FR/Lincoln, Neb.) finished the game and picked up three saves. The Tigers lone shot attempt came from Tyler Phillips (FR/Omaha, Neb.).
The Tigers will look to bounce back on Sunday, August 21, when they play host to Kansas Wesleyan at 3:15 PM.
