Doane Men's Soccer dropped a 3-1 matchup with Saint Mary (Kan.) on Saturday afternoon in Leavenworth, Kansas. The loss dropped the Tigers to 0-4 on the year.
Saint Mary scored twice in the first half on seven shot attempts. Doane posted five shot attempts with three on-goal in the half. The hidden stat was two shot attempts that did not count as the Tigers were called for off-sides, eliminating two goals.
In the second half, Doane held a 9-6 shot advantage. In the 75th minute, the Tigers cut the deficit in half as Braden Lackey (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) scored his first goal of the season. The Spires added a goal in the 89th minute to clinch the win.
