Doane Men's Soccer closed out their non-conference slate on Saturday with a trip to Lindsborg, Kansas, to take on Bethany. The Tigers struck first but ultimately fell to the Swedes, 2-1.

The first goal of the game came from Cesar Gonzalez (JR/Puerto Quito, Ecuador) as he picked up a deflected ball played into the box by Reynaldo Villafuerte (SR/Mexico City, Mexico) in the 20' of play. Bethany tied the game in the 42' on a goal from Carlos Zamora.

In the second half, the Swedes took the lead in the 52' on a goal from Peter Tu. Steven McQueen added an insurance goal in the 88' to close out the scoring. Doane held the shot advantage, 13-5, for the game.

The Tigers will open conference play on Wednesday, September 14, as they take on Mount Marty at 7:15 PM.
