Doane Men's Soccer dropped a 2-1 decision on Wednesday evening at Concordia, ending the team's postseason hopes with a game remaining.
The Tigers struck first as Cesar Gonzalez (JR/Puerto Quito, Ecuador) scored in the 15' of play off an assist from Braden Lackey (SO/Lincoln, Neb.). Concordia answered back with a goal in the 18' as the teams would go into halftime tied 1-1. The Bulldogs took the lead in the 60' and held off a late Doane push for the win.
Concordia held a 16-5 shot advantage in the game with shots on-goal at 8-3.
Doane will close out the year on Saturday, October 29, in Orange City, Iowa, as they take on Northwestern at 7:15 PM.
