Madden Named GPAC Offensive Player of the Week

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced the men's soccer players of the week for Week 4 of the season on Tuesday. Doane's Ameer Madden was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week after his performance in Doane's 2-2 tie with Jamestown on Saturday. This marks the first time that Madden has received the honor in his career.

On Saturday afternoon, Madden assisted on Doane's first goal of the game in the opening half. He gave the team the lead in the second half with a goal in the 57' of action. On the season, Madden is tied for the team lead in goals and leads the way in assists.

Doane will begin conference play on Wednesday, September 18, when they host Briar Cliff at 7:15 PM.
