CRETE, Neb. - Doane men's soccer closed its 2025 home regular season slate Saturday afternoon, falling 5–1 to visiting Morningside in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) action at Memorial Stadium/Papik Field.
Morningside (9-6-2, 5-2-2 GPAC) struck twice late in the opening half and added three more goals after the break. Jordan Bickel opened the scoring in the 29th minute, finishing off assists from Lucas De Souza and Bennet Buchwald. Tobias Allerstorfer doubled the Mustang lead just before halftime with a strike in the 42nd minute.
The Mustangs' momentum carried into the second half as Gustavo Dos Santos netted back-to-back goals in the 54th and 74th minutes to extend the margin to 4–0. Doane (2-9-4, 1-4-4 GPAC) found the scoreboard moments later when Fernando Moreno buried his second goal of the season in the 75th minute, assisted by Nicolas Jones and Tomas Garcia Ibanez. Morningside's Elis Olden capped the scoring less than two minutes later.
