Men's Tennis Downed by Colorado Mesa

Doane Men's Tennis took on NCAA Division II Colorado-Mesa on Friday as the teams met in Kearney. The Mavericks picked up a 7-0 win over the Tigers.

Colorado-Mesa took the doubles point by winning two of the three doubles matches. Doane's win came at No. 2 where Federico Infante and Diego Infante won 6-4.

In singles play, Doane dropped all six matches. At No. 1 singles, Jorge Chevez was edged out by Tyler Landen, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. In the No. 4 singles match, Federico Infante was nipped in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) by Jorge Abreu.

Doane takes on Southwestern (Kan.) on Saturday, February 11. The two teams will meet in Fremont at the Fremont YMCA.
