Southwestern Wins Battle Over Men's Tennis

Doane Men's Tennis took on Southwestern (Kan.) on Saturday afternoon in Fremont at the YMCA indoor courts. The Moundbuilders picked up a 5-2 win over the Tigers.

Southwestern won two of the three doubles matches to take the first team point of the match. Federico Infante and Diego Infante won 6-4 at No. 2. The final doubles match to finish was at No. 1 where Southwestern won 7-5.

Jorge Chevez won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-2, over Federico Poi. Federico Infante was victorious at No. 4, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (15-13).

Next up for the Tigers will be a dual with Grand View on February 18. First serve at the Red Oak, Iowa, Family YMCA is set for 12 PM.
