Men's Tennis Blanks Grand View

Doane Men's Tennis picked up a 7-0 victory over Grand View on Saturday in Red Oak, Iowa. The Tigers moved to 2-3 on the season.

Grand View played with four players, having to forfeit two singles matches and one doubles match. There were some tight matches that the Tigers came out on top in.

In doubles, Federico Infante and Diego Infante won at No. 1, 7-6, winning the tie-break, 7-3. Jorge Chevez and Donat Beke won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Chevez claimed a 6-3, 6-1, win at No. 1 singles. Jose Purizaca won in a third-set tie break at No. 2, 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-1). Federico Infante won 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-5) at No. 3 while Esteban Gutierrez won 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.

The Tigers take on Ottawa (Kan.) on Friday, February 24, in Lawrence, Kansas. First serve is set for 10:45 AM.
