Men's Tennis Shuts Out Bethany in Home Opener

Doane Men's Tennis hosted Bethany (Kan.) on Tuesday afternoon, their 2023 home opener. The Tigers won each match on their way to a 7-0 victory.

Jorge Chevez and Federico Infante posted a 6-3 win at 1-doubles. Jose Purizaca and Esteban Gutierrez were victorious, 6-4, at 2-doubles. Diego Infante and Donat Beke claimed a 6-1 win at 3-doubles.

Chevez picked up a 6-1, 6-0, win at 1-singles with Purizaca claiming a 6-2, 6-4, win at 2-singles. At 3-singles, Federico Infante won 6-2, 6-2, and at 4-singles, Gutierrez won 6-1, 6-0. Diego Infante picked up a 6-3, 6-1, win at 5-singles while Beke won 6-0, 6-1, at 6-singles.

Next up for the Tigers will be a conference match against Northwestern on April 1. First serve in Crete is scheduled for 1 PM.
