Men's Tennis Win-Streak Pushed to Four Straight

Doane Men's Tennis played host to Northwestern on Saturday afternoon in Crete for their first home conference match of the season. The Tigers topped the Red Raiders, 7-0, to push their win-streak to four while improving to 2-0 in GPAC play.

The three doubles matches were swept by the Tigers, all by a 6-3 final score. Jorge Chevez and Federico Infante teamed up at 1-doubles, Jose Purizaca and Esteban Gutierrez at 2-doubles, and Diego Infante and Donat Beke at 3-doubles.

In singles action, the Tigers won five of the matches in straight sets. Chevez won 6-1, 6-2, at 1-singles with Purizaca winning in three sets, 6-3, 0-6, 6-3, at 2-singles. Federico Infante and Gutierrez each won by final scores of 6-3, 6-2, at 3-singles and 4-singles, respectively. Diego Infante won 6-4, 6-0, at 5-singles while Beke won 6-2, 6-3, at 6-singles.

Doane will put their win-streak on the line on Sunday, April 2, in Omaha as they take on Creighton University.
