Men's Tennis Tops Concordia for Road Win

Doane Men's Tennis traveled to Seward Thursday afternoon to take on Concordia in GPAC action. The Tigers posted a 6-1 victory over the Bulldogs.

In doubles play, Doane swept all three matches led by Jorge Chevez and Federico posting a 6-0 shutout at 1-doubles. Jose Purizaca and Esteban Gutierrez picked up a 6-2 win at 2-doubles and Diego Infante and Donat Beke won 6-4 at 3-doubles.

As the teams moved to singles action, Chevez posted a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, victory in the No. 1 position. Purizaca won 6-3, 6-4, at 2-singles while Federico Infante won 6-4, 6-1, at 3-singles. At the 4-singles match, Gutierrez won 6-1, 7-5, and Diego Infante picked up a victory at 5-singles, 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, April 12, as they host Hastings at 3:00 PM in Crete.
