Chevez Named GPAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Doane Men's Tennis senior Jorge Chevez has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Player of the Week. This marks the eighth time in Chevez' career that he has received the honor.

In a dual win over Concordia last week, Chevez went 2-0 in winning his matches at 1-singles and 1-doubles. He posted a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, win over Hugo Fuentes in singles play. In doubles play, Chevez teamed with Federico Infante to pick up a 6-0 win.

The Tigers are back in action today (Wednesday) as they host Hastings at 3 PM before taking on Morningside on Saturday at noon. Saturday's match will also be Senior Day.
