Men's Tennis Shuts Out Grand View

Men's Tennis traveled to Red Oak, Iowa, for the annual showdown with Grand View. The Tigers shutout the Vikings for the third straight meeting, 7-0.

Doane swept the three doubles matches. Federico Infante and Diego Infante won 6-4 at No. 1 while Esteban Gutierrez and Jose Purizaca won 6-1 at No. 2. Andre Hartman and Elliot Dassel teamed up for a 6-0 shutout at No. 3.

In singles play, Gutierrez won in a third-set tie-break, 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-4), at No. 1. Purizaca won 6-1, 7-6 (7-4), at No. 2 with Federico Infante winning at No. 3, 6-2, 6-3. Hartman and Dassel posted shutouts, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively. Julio Avila won 6-3, 6-4, at No. 5 singles.

Next up for the Tigers will be a match with NCAA Division I Creighton on Friday, February 23, in Omaha.
