Men's Tennis Drops Match to Ottawa
Men's Tennis took on Ottawa on Saturday morning in Red Oak, Iowa. The Braves defeated the Tigers, 7-0, though the final score does not show how competitive the match actually was.
Ottawa took the three doubles matches, winning at No. 1 and No. 2 by a score of 6-2, and at No. 3 by a 6-1 decision.
In singles play, three matches went to a third set tie-break. At No. 1 singles, Esteban Gutierrez lost 5-7, 7-5, 0-1 (6-10), while Jose Purizaca dropped his No. 2 singles match, 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 0-1 (4-10). At No. 6 singles, Elliot Dassel lost 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 0-1 (13-15).
Doane will return to action on February 27 when they take on Tabor at 2 PM in Hillsboro, Kansas.
