Men's Tennis Collects Second Straight Win in Kansas
Men's Tennis competed in Baldwin City, Kansas, on Sunday afternoon as they took on Baker (Kan.). The Tigers topped the Wildcats, 5-2.
Baker was a player short which benefited the Tigers in the final tally. In doubles action, the Wildcats won at 1-doubles with Doane taking the 2-doubles match. Federico Infante and Diego Infante won 6-2 for Doane. The Tigers received the team point for doubles play with a forfeit win at 3-doubles.
In singles play, Baker won at 1-singles and 5-singles for their two team points. Jose Purizaca won at 2-singles in a tie-break, taking the match 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5). Federico Infante won 6-0, 6-1, at 3-singles and Andre Hartman won at 4-singles 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (retired). Julio Avila received a forfeit win at 6-singles.
