Men's Tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to Grand View on Saturday in Red Oak, Iowa.

In doubles play, the team of Jose Purizaca and Julio Aliva posted a 7-5 victory at No. 1. However, the Vikings won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles and 6-1 at No. 3 doubles to earn the team point.

Purizaca had the lone win in singles play for Doane. He won 6-4, 6-4, over Enzo Naveda at No. 1 singles. Elliot Dassel lost at No. 2 in a third set tie-break, 5-7, 7-5, 0-1 (7-10). Andre Hartman lost at No. 3, 4-6, 4-6, and Avila lost 3-6, 3-6, at No. 4 singles. Tanner Adams dropped his match at No. 5 and Christian Jensen was edged in a third set tie-break, 5-7, 7-5, 0-1 (9-11).

Doane will return to Red Oak, Iowa, next week on February 15 to take on Ottawa (Kan.) at 11 AM.
