SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Doane University men's tennis team faced a tough road test on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-1 to Morningside in GPAC play.

The Mustangs took early control of the match by sweeping all three doubles contests to secure the opening point. Doane's top pairing of Diego Infante and Elliot Dassel battled but fell 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Andre Hartman and Jaime Asiain Banzo (No. 2) and Mats Vervloet and Miles Mollring (No. 3) each dropped 6-2 and 6-3 decisions, respectively.

In singles play, Doane found its lone point behind a resilient effort from Mats Vervloet at No. 1.
