CRETE, Neb. – The Doane men's tennis team faced a strong test on Friday evening, falling 7-0 to Concordia (Neb.) in GPAC action.

The Bulldogs gained early momentum by sweeping all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. At No. 1 doubles, Diego Infante and Elliot Dassel dropped a 6-2 decision, while the No. 2 duo of Andre Hartman and Jaime Asiain Banzo battled but fell 6-4. Mats Vervloet and Miles Mollring also came up short at No. 3 doubles by a 6-4 margin.

In singles play, Doane continued to compete but was unable to break through against Concordia's lineup. The closest contest came at No. 1 singles, where Mats Vervloet pushed Hugo Fuentes to three sets. After taking the opening set in a tiebreak, Vervloet ultimately fell in a tightly contested super tiebreak, 7-6, 6-7, 11-9.
