Turner Races to GPAC Track Honor

Zach Turner of the Men's Track and Field team has been named the first GPAC Track Athlete of the Week for the 2022-23 season based on his performance at the Concordia Early Bird Meet. This is the fourth time in his career that he has won the honor.

Turner posted the second-fastest time in Doane history on Saturday in the 60-meter hurdles as he raced to a time of 8.03 seconds. His time was the second-fastest in the NAIA this season and set a meet record.

He added a victory in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.42 seconds and anchored the winning 4x400-meter relay team as he ran a 49.86 split as the team posted a time of 3:26.15.

Doane will return to action on January 7, 2023, at the Ward Haylett Invite in Crete.
