Men's Track and Field Wins Three Events in Lincoln
Doane Men's Track and Field competed at the Prairie Wolf Invite on Friday. The Tigers walked away with three event victories.
JaDae Moore won the men's 60m dash with a time of 7.00 after posting a time of 7.06 in the prelims. Austin Drake won the men's 200m dash with a time of 22.23.
In the men's 400m, Zach Turner placed second with a time of 49.05, meeting the NAIA provisional qualifying standard with his time ranking 14th in the nation. Thomas Oliver won the 1000m run with a time of 2:35.18. Kalen Dockweiler placed fifth in the mile with a time of 4:18.00.
In the shot put, Cale Bessler had the top mark for the Tigers with a throw of 13.54m (44-05.25). Carson Lavaley had the top Tiger throw in the weight throw as he finished ninth with a mark of 12.73m (41-09.25).
Doane returns to action on Saturday, January 21, when they compete at the Polar Dog Invite in Seward.
