Turner Snags Third GPAC Weekly Honor

Zach Turner garnered this week's Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors after his performance at the Concordia Invite last weekend. This is the third time during the 2022-23 season that he has received the honor and the sixth of his career for the indoor season.

Turner broke the Concordia fieldhouse record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.95 seconds. He is the first to run a sub-8 second hurdles race at the venue. He added a win in the 200m dash with a time of 22.01, a personal best for the indoor season. Both of his marks met the NAIA automatic national qualifying standard.

The Tigers return to Seward for the third straight week. The 2023 GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held in the Concordia field house with Doane looking to retain their crown.
