Men's 4x400m Relay Advances to NAIA Finals

The 2023 NAIA Indoor National Championships are underway in Brookings, S.D., with both the Doane men and women having athletes in action on Thursday.

The Tiger men's 4x400m relay advanced to the finals on Saturday by finishing with the fifth-fastest time in the prelims. The team of Zach Turner, Austin Drake, Caleb Mulder, and Joaquin Gutierrez ran a time of 3:14.47, a season-best and the fourth-fastest time in program history.

The men's distance medley relay team ran a time of 10:08.29 and finished 12th overall. The time is the fastest in program history for a metric track. Running for the Tigers were Thomas Oliver, Jordan Tasler, Kingdon Hawes, and Kalen Dockweiler.

On the women's side, Lindsay Adams competed in the pentathlon. She finished 12th overall with a total score of 3,168. She ran a time of 9.29 seconds in the 60m hurdles, posted a mark of 1.43m in the high jump, a throw of 10.37m in the shot put, a leap of 5.05m in the long jump, and final run time of 2:33.68 in the 800m.

Doane athletes will resume action on Friday beginning at 12:00 PM.
