Partridge Hits Big Throw at Concordia Invite for Men's Track and Field

Doane Men's Track and Field picked up three NAIA national qualifying marks at the Concordia Invite on Friday and Saturday in the field events. All running events were canceled due to weather conditions.

Luke Partridge hit a personal best throw of 60.43m (198-03) to win the hammer throw. His mark is an NAIA automatic qualifying throw, the second best throw in school history, and is currently sixth on the NAIA season chart. Andrew Schmitz added a provisional qualifying mark with a throw of 54.66m (179-04) to place fourth. Schmitz added the top Tiger mark in the shot put with a throw of 14.27m (46-10.00) to place fourth.

In the discus, Jaedon Lothrop placed second with a mark of 46.12m (151-04). Parker Lange took second in the javelin with a throw of 51.46m (168-10).

Carter Reckling won the high jump with a mark of 2.05m (6-08.75), meeting the NAIA provisional standard. Mike Pulliam took fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.55m (14-11.00).

Vince Lauenroth won the triple jump with a leap of 13.77m (45-02.25). Jack Krejci finished fifth in the long jump with a mark of 6.66m (21-10.25).

Next up for the Tigers is the John Greene Combined Events on April 20-21 and the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic on April 21-22, both in Crete.
