Dockweiler Snags GPAC Track Athlete of the Week Honors

Doane Men's Track and Field runner Kalen Dockweiler has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Track Field Athlete of the Week after his performance in the 3,000m steeplechase on Sunday. This is the first time Dockweiler has received the honor and the first Tiger since Rosten From in 2018 to earn it while competing in the steeplechase.

Dockweiler ran a time of 9:14.11 to win the steeplechase on Sunday, posting the top time in the GPAC and second-fastest time in the NAIA at the time of the race. His time was a personal best and was a mere eight-hundredths of a second off the school record time.

Doane will compete at the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Lincoln.
