Men's Track and Field Compete in Seward
Men's Track and Field traveled to Seward on Friday to compete in the Concordia Invitational. The Tigers finished with two NAIA provisional qualifying marks on the day.
In the 100m dash, JaDae Moore won with a time of 10.65 as the Tigers took four of the top five spots in the race. Zach Turner placed third in the 200m with a time of 21.93 while Jordan Kwiatkowski placed 11th in the 400m.
In the 800m, Michael Grigsby placed 14th with a time of 1:59.06. Emmanuel Yego placed third in the 1500m with a time of 4:06.66. In the 5000m, Thomas Oliver clocked the fastest time of the day with a mark of 15:41.86.
In the 110m hurdles, Addison Croghan placed fifth with a time of 15.15. Zach Fox won the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.72. The 4x100m relay team of Joaquin Gutierrez, Moore, Chris Vincent, and Connor Bradley won in a time of 41.73. The 4x400m relay team also won with a time of 3:18.65. Running for the Tigers were Gutierrez, Yego, Caleb Mulder, and Turner.
In the field events, Dylan Starr placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.97m (6-05.50). Mike Pulliam placed sixth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.30m (14-01.25). Drew Garrison also cleared 4.30m, finishing eighth based on attempts.
Luke Davis led the Tigers in the long jump with a mark of 6.72m (22-00.75) and placed fourth. Trevor Malone took fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.72m (45-00.25).
In the throwing events, Colton Dillon won the shot put with an NAIA provisional qualifying mark of 15.56m (51-00.75). Trey Dickey took fifth in the discus with a provisional qualifying mark of 48.73m (159-10). Dickey took fourth place in the hammer throw with a mark of 51.73m (169-09). Mason Crumbliss paced the Tigers in the javelin with a fifth place finish and mark of 53.14m (174-04).
Next up for the Tigers is the annual dual with Nebraska Wesleyan on Friday, April 12, in Lincoln.
