Men's Track & Field Competes in Home Meet, at Kansas Relays

Men's Track and Field competed in two meets this week, hosting the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic and traveling to the Kansas Relays.

In the Tigers home meet, JaDae Moore was a two-event winner. He won the 100m title with a time of 10.84 and took the 200m crown in a time of 22.18. Connor Bradley won the 400m with a time of 49.88. Emmanuel Yego won the 800m in a time of 1:56.61.

Michael Grigsby placed second in the 1500m with a time of 4:07.15. Jakob Tadlock won the 10,000m with a time of 34:27.67. In the 110m hurdles, Sander Zutterman took second with a time of 15.85. Zach Fox took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.42.

Doane won both relay races in the meet. The 4x100m relay team of Daniel Concepcion, Rian Green, Andrew Mahoney, and Jackson Eurek won with a time of 43.20. The 4x800m relay team of Nate O'Brien, Grigsby, Eli Marez, and Yego won with a time of 7:58.87.

In the field events, Dylan Starr and Carter Reckling each met the NAIA automatic qualifying standard in the high jump. Starr placed 3rd with a clearance of 2.08m while Reckling tied for 4th with a clearance of 2.05m. Mike Pulliam and Drew Garrison tied for 1st in the pole vault with marks of 4.25m.

Cameron Leeling won the long jump with a leap of 6.39m and Trevor Malone won the triple jump with a mark of 14.25m. 

Trey Dickey was a double-winner with titles in the discus and hammer throw. He met the NAIA automatic qualifying standard in the discus with a mark of 50.22m and met the provisional standard in the hammer throw with a mark of 54.44m. Colton Dillon took third in the shot put with a mark of 14.88m.

Mason Crumbliss placed second in the javelin with an NAIA provisional qualifying standard of 56.88m. Addison Croghan took fourth in the decathlon with 6,007 points, moving into 12th in the NAIA (Top 16 qualify for nationals).

In Kansas, Nelson Ruto took eighth in the 10,000m run with a time of 31:58.13. Zach Turner placed seventh in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.33. He ran a time of 14.33 in the prelims for an NAIA automatic qualifying mark. In the 400m hurdles, he ran a time of 53.16 in the prelims but did not run in the finals. His prelim time met the NAIA automatic qualifying standard.

Thomas Oliver posted an NAIA automatic qualifying time in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:12.19. In the hammer throw, Trey Dickey placed ninth with a mark of 51.61m.

In the coming week, Tiger athletes will compete at either the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, or the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite in Lincoln.
