Men's Track and Field Compete at Concordia Last Chance
Men's Track and Field competed at the Concordia Twilight on Friday afternoon and evening in Seward.
In the 110m hurdles, Zach Turner ran a time of 13.89 in the finals to win the event, besting three NCAA Division II runners. Zach Fox took 10th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.11. In the 800m, Nate O'Brien posted a time of 1:56.30 to place 20th.
The men's 4x100m relay team of Connor Bradley, Chris Vincent, Andrew Mahoney, and Caleb Mulder ran a time of 40.93, a season-best time and an NAIA automatic qualifying mark as they placed sixth. The 4x400m relay team of Joaquin Gutierrez, Bradley, Mulder, and Turner, ran a season-best time of 3:11.22, finishing third. Dordt edged out the Tigers as the two squads sit 1st-2nd in the NAIA rankings after the night.
Carter Reckling took 10th in the high jump with a mark of 1.97m (6-05.50). Mike Pulliam finished ninth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.55m (14-11.00). Cale Bessler took fifth in the unseeded shot put with a throw of 14.42m (47-03.75). Colton Dillon finished ninth in the seeded shot put with a toss of 14.85m (48-08.75). Trey Dickey took second in the unseeded discus with a mark of 48.08m (157-09). He finished seventh in the unseeded hammer throw with a toss of 49.60m (162-09). Mason Crumbliss placed ninth in the javelin with a mark of 53.19m (174-06).
