Men's Track and Field Competes in Kearney

Men's Track and Field competed at the Central Nebraska Challenge in Kearney on Friday amidst the high winds that came through the plains. Tiger athletes picked up four wins, four automatic national qualifying marks, and a school record.

Zach Turner broke the 110m hurdles school record with a time of 13.49. However, due to the wind readings, his mark is not countable for the NAIA national standings. In the 400m hurdles, Turner ran a time of 51.11 to win the race and hit an automatic national qualifying mark.

JaDae Moore placed 16th in the 100m with a time of 10.75. In the 200m, Caleb Mulder placed 12th with a time of 22.15. Joaquin Gutierrez finished in sixth with a time of 50.24.

The 4x100m relay team of Devon Jackson, Moore, Daniel Conception, and Dalton Whisenhunt ran a time of 41.54, placing fourth.

In the field events, Dylan Starr took second in the high jump with the third-best mark in program history. He cleared 2.15m (7-00.50), and tied for the top clearance with number of attempts at the previous height determining placing. In the pole vault, Drew Garrison was sixth with a mark of 4.45m (14-07.25).

Kyler Nichols won the triple jump with a mark of 14.94m (49-00.25). Michael Willey was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 6.94m (22-09.25).
