Men's Track & Field Hits Six NAIA Qualifying Marks at Home

Men's Track and Field hosted a small meet on Tuesday. The Tigers picked up one NAIA automatic qualifying mark and five provisional marks on the day.

On the track, JaDae Moore won the 100m dash with a time of 10.79. Moore took third in the 200m with a time of 21.88. In the 400m, Joaquin Gutierrez won with a time of 48.75. Michael Grigsby won the 800m in a time of 1:55.51. Cody Smith took fifth in the 1500m with a time of 4:18.06.

In the hurdles, Andrew Brown won both the 110m and 400m events. In the 110m hurdles, he ran an NAIA provisional qualifying time of 14.43. In the 400m hurdles, he had an automatic qualifying time of 52.41.

Over in the field events, Mason Crumbliss won the javelin with a mark of 49.99m (164-00). Andrew Schmitz won the hammer throw with a toss of 54.44m (178-07). Cale Bessler took fourth in the shot put with a mark of 15.12m (49-07.25).

In the discus, the Tigers had three provisional qualifying marks. Trey Dickey won the event with a toss of 50.84m (166-09). Christopher Brown was second with a mark of 50.80m (166-08) and Cale Bessler was third with a throw of 49.96m (163-11).

Dylan Starr won the high jump with a mark of 2.06m (6-09.00), meeting the NAIA provisional qualifying standard. Andrew Harms won the long jump with a mark of 7.08m (23-02.75). Kyler Nichols won the triple jump with a leap of 14.47m (47-05.75). Drew Garrison won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.35m (14-03.25).

Next up for the Tigers will be the Doane/Nebraska Wesleyan dual on Saturday, April 12, in Crete.
