Boldmaa Named GPAC Wrestler of the Week
Doane men's wrestler Baagii Boldmaa has been named the GPAC Wrestler of the Week for the week of December 12-18. This is Boldmaa's second honor this season and eighth of his Tiger career.
At last weekend's Concordia Duals, Boldmaa went 4-0 and in the process, picked up his 100th career win as a Doane wrestler. The Tigers' all-time wins leader also extended his win-streak to 86 straight matches.
In his opening match against Mason Scholtz of Benedictine, he won by pin in 3:41. Boldmaa received a forfeit victory against Rio Grande. He faced Mitchell Huber of Central Methodist in the Tigers' third dual on the day. Boldmaa won by tech fall, 20-3. His final match came against NAIA No. 10 Joseph Rice of Missouri Valley. Boldmaa jumped out early in the match and eventually finished Rice with a pin at the 2:21 mark.
Doane returns to action on January 6-7 when they participate in the NWCA National Duals.
