Boldmaa Named NAIA Men's Wrestler of the Week

Doane Men's Wrestler Baagii Boldmaa has added to his week of accolades as he has been named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Wrestler of the Week. This is the first time Boldmaa has received the honor and he is the second Doane wrestler to be acknowledged with the national honor.

A three-time national champion at 141, Boldmaa saw what much of this year's field will look like when he competed at the NWCA Multi-Division National Duals over the weekend. He opened with a 10-7 win over NAIA No. 4 Caden Manion of Oklahoma City. In Doane's next round, he defeated No. 6 Kyle Kantola of Indiana Tech, 10-3. His final match came against No. 3 Parker Dobrocky of Southeastern (Fla.), which resulted in a 9-7 win.

Boldmaa improved to 22-0 on the season and in his final match, he picked up his 150th career win between Doane and Northwest Kansas Tech.

The Tigers will travel to Seward on Friday, January 13, to take on the Bulldogs in a GPAC Dual at 7 PM.
