Men's Wrestling Rolls Past Jamestown
Men's Wrestling opened the GPAC Duals on Saturday with a 48-4 win over Jamestown. The Tigers won nine of the 10 matches.
The match opened with Hunter Bennett posting a major decision at 125, 14-3. The Jimmies won the match at 133 by major decision to tie the team score at 4-all. Doane went in front as Matthew Terrence made his debut at 141 and won by pin in 1:06.
Nate Lendt tied his school record for fastest pin at 149, picking up the win in 29 seconds. Benjamin Dobler picked up a 7-5 decision at 157 and Benjamin Miller wrestled up a weight class to 165, posting a pin in 1:33. Michael Scarponi received a forfeit win at 174.
The Tigers earned bonus points in the final three matches. Tyson Beauperthuy won by pin in 1:52 at 184. Kasten Grape won by tech fall at 197, 19-4. Eli Criblez finished off the team victory with a pin at heavyweight in 1:01.
