Men's Wrestling closed out the GPAC Duals against No. 17 Morningside. The Tigers won four of the first five matches on their way to a 29-15 victory. The win clinched at least a share of the GPAC title.

Nathan Rizek started the match off with a 16-0 tech fall win at 125. Devin Avedission received a forfeit win at 133. Morningside took the match at 141 by tech fall, leaving Doane in front 11-5.

Nate Lendt extended the Tiger lead with his second pin of the day, winning in 34 seconds at 149. Benjamin Dobler collected a win in overtime at 157, 4-1. Morningside won by major decision at 165 and in overtime at 174 by decision.

The first match to pit a pair of ranked wrestlers in the same weight class came at 184 where No. 5 Tyson Beauperthuy defeated No. 6 Hayden Wempen, 4-1. Bradley Antesberger received a forfeit win at 197 for the Tigers' final team points. Morningside won the second Top 25 battle as No. 5 Hunter DeJong defeated No. 20 Eli Criblez, 2-0.

Doane will return to action on Saturday, February 3, as they host Concordia in the final GPAC match of the season. A Tiger win would clinch the GPAC regular season title outright and would also be the first time the wrestling program won a conference championship in front of their home crowd. The first match is scheduled for 7 PM following Senior Night recognitions.
