Beauperthuy Named GPAC Wrestler of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's wrestler-of-the-week for competitions between October 28-November 3, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Tyson Beauperthuy, Doane University – 184lb Weight Class

Doane University wrestler Tyson Beauperthuy is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Beauperthuy, a junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, won the 184 Elite Division, going 4-0 on the day. He started with a pin of NCAA Division II Matthew Rodriguez followed with a tech fall win over NAIA #1 Grand View's Lucas Hageman. In the semifinals, Beauperthuy defeated Hunter Mullin, an alum of NCAA Division II Western Colorado, by decision, 8-5. In the championship, he won by major decision, 13-2, over NCAA Division II Seth Sarasua.
