Men's Wrestling suffered their first setback of the NWCA NAIA National Duals on Friday as they fell to No. 7 Campbellsville, 24-17. Both teams won five matches, however the Tigers from Kentucky earned bonus points in four of their matches.

Hunter Bennett opened with a 6-4 decision over Caleb Thomas at 125. Devin Avedissian picked up an upset win at 141 by defeating NAIA No. 11 Nick Moore, 3-1. In a possible NAIA finals preview at 149, Nate Lendt took on No. 2 Nicholas Yancey. Yancey edged the Tigers' top-ranked wrestler in overtime, 4-1.

Ben Miller posted an 11-9 decision victory over Tyler Muldrew at 157 to give the Tigers a 9-7 team lead through five matches. Campbellsville went in front with a pair of wins, earning 11 team points.

Doane came back and pulled within one point, 18-17, following a pair of wins. Tyson Beauperthuy defeated No. 9 Brice Parks by major decision, 25-17, after trailing in the first period, 12-3. Bradley Antesberger defeated Joel Hatchett by major decision, 10-2. Campbellsville picked up a pin at 285 to close out the match.

Next up for Doane will be a meeting against Montana State-Northern in the consolation bracket. A win would guarantee a Top 8 finish in the tournament.
