Beauperthuy Receives GPAC Honor for Third Time this Year

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's wrestler-of-the-week for contests played January 6-12, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Tyson Beauperthuy, Doane University – 184lb Weight Class

Doane University wrestler Tyson Beauperthuy is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Beauperthuy, a junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, won all five matches on the week to improve to 21-0 on the year. He picked up three wins over Top 15 wrestlers. Beauperthuy posted a 20-4 tech fall win over NAIA No. 11 Isaiah Twait of Corban (Ore.). In his match against No. 9 Brice Parks of Campbellsville (Ky.), he trailed 12-3 before going on a 22-5 run to post a major decision victory. He closed out the first day of competition with a 7-3 decision over No. 6 Rylin Burns of Montana State-Northern. On the second day of action, Beauperthuy defeated Wyatt Rewerts of Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) by tech fall, 22-4, and Drake Tipton of Missouri Valley with a pin in 2:15.
