Men's Wrestling Tops Waldorf to Open GPAC Duals

Men's Wrestling took on Waldorf in the first of three duals on the day as part of the GPAC Duals in Mitchell, S.D. The Tigers rolled to a 49-3 victory over the Warriors.

Action started with Hunter Bennett receiving a forfeit win at 125. Anthony Harris followed with a quick pin at 133, defeating Ikuhaiakalani Akina in 23 seconds. Devin Avedissian won at 141 by tech fall over Shiwoko Shiwoko, 19-4. The lone Waldorf win came at 149 as NAIA No. 22 Tyler Okada defeated Tristen Brown by decision, 14-7.

Doane was back in the win column at 157 as Ben Miller won by injury stoppage at 3:44. Vincent Donatelle won by tech fall at 165 by defeating Daven Hames, 20-3. In the 174 match, Benjamin Dobler topped Jackson Prescott by major decision, 19-6.

Tyson Beauperthuy won by tech fall for the 10th time this season, 18-3, over Skyler Schmidt at 184. Bradley Antesberger and Eli Criblez won by forfeit at 197 and 285, respectively.

Doane will take on Dakota Wesleyan in their second dual of the day at 2 PM.
