Harris Named GPAC Men's Wrestler of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's and women's wrestler-of-the-week for events during October 27-November 2, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Ray Ray Harris, Doane University – 125lb Weight Class

Doane wrestler Ray Ray Harris is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Harris, a sophomore from Clovis, California, ranked No. 16 at 125, knocked off two higher ranked opponents and a NCAA Division II opponent on the opening weekend for the Tigers. He took all four matches with bonus point victories, including two pins.

He opened the season with a pin of Aden Sanders from NCAA Division II Central Oklahoma in 1:06. In the quarterfinals, he pinned NAIA No. 13 Braden Ledford of Friends in 4:11. Harris won his semifinal match over NAIA No. 7 Saoul Prado of Baker by technical fall, 17-1. In the finals, he defeated Braydon Pacheco of Friends by major decision, 15-2.
