Beauperthuy Named Men's Wrestler of the Year
CRETE, Neb. – Following a dominant performance at the 2026 GPAC Wrestling Championships, the Doane men's wrestling team was rewarded with eight All-GPAC selections, highlighted by Tyson Beauperthuy being named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Wrestler of the Year.
The Tigers captured the GPAC Championship team title with 170 points, finishing 24 points ahead of runner-up Concordia. Doane crowned five individual conference champions and placed 11 wrestlers in the top six of their respective weight classes.
Beauperthuy, a redshirt senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, earned GPAC Wrestler of the Year honors for the second straight season after winning the 184-pound conference championship. The top-ranked wrestler at the weight class recorded a pair of falls and a technical fall on his way to the title, including a championship-match pin of nationally ranked Barret Brandt of Concordia.

Terrence dominated the 133-pound bracket, winning all four matches and recording two falls, a technical fall and a major decision in the championship bout against nationally ranked Paul Ruff of Concordia.
Jackson continued his outstanding redshirt freshman campaign by winning the 197-pound championship. The Arnold, Missouri, native earned a fall and two technical falls, including a 23-6 technical fall victory over nationally ranked Torrance Keehn of Concordia in the finals.
