Three Wrestlers Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
CRETE, Neb. – Doane men's wrestlers Chase Stieb, Jaren Jackson, and Tyson Beauperthuy have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's At-Large Academic All-District Team, recognizing their achievements both academically and athletically.
The CSC Academic All-District program honors student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom while competing at a high level in their respective sports. The men's at-large category includes student-athletes from wrestling, golf, competitive cheer, and several other sports.
The trio played key roles in another successful season for the Tigers, helping Doane earn a third consecutive GPAC regular-season championship and qualify multiple wrestlers for the NAIA National Championships.
Beauperthuy, a standout at 184 pounds, produced one of the most dominant seasons in the NAIA. The senior finished the year with a 27-1 record and advanced to the NAIA National Championship match. He captured the GPAC championship at 184 pounds and earned NAIA All-America honors. Beauperthuy recorded 17 technical falls, six pins, and four major decisions during the season while defeating 11 nationally ranked opponents. His only loss came in the national finals to Navarro Nanpuya of Georgetown (Ky.).
Jackson also enjoyed an outstanding campaign at 197 pounds, posting a 26-6 record against one of the nation's toughest schedules. The red-shirt freshman qualified for the NAIA National Championships and earned All-America honors with an eighth-place finish. Jackson collected 15 falls, two technical falls, two major decisions, and four decision victories during the season. He recorded victories over several nationally ranked opponents, including No. 15 Ashton Boswell of Campbellsville, No. 5 Gentry Smith of Southeastern, and No. 8 Ghee Rachal of St. Thomas (Fla.) during his All-America run in Wichita.
Stieb added depth and experience to the Tigers' lineup at 197 pounds, finishing the season with a 14-9 record. He earned victories in eight of his final 11 matches entering the NAIA National Championships and placed fourth at the GPAC Championships. Stieb recorded six falls, four major decisions, and two technical falls during the season while helping provide Doane with one of the strongest weight classes in the conference. His season included wins over Northwestern's Joel Arias and Hastings' Justyce Hostettler during the postseason.
The CSC Academic All-District honor reflects the commitment each student-athlete has made to excellence in both the classroom and competition. The recognition continues a strong tradition of academic achievement within the Doane wrestling program, which has consistently combined success on the mat with success in the classroom.
Student-athletes selected to the Academic All-District Team advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with Academic All-America honorees scheduled to be announced later this summer.
